It has taken me all week to get this new blog started!
I stopped posting to the old blog because I planned to have this up last weekend. Then my Friday night went from one margarita after work to one margarita plus an ungodly amount of Maker’s Mark … which of course resulted in my oversleeping Saturday and missing my 8 a.m. group trail run … which meant I had to go out by myself around 10, when it was nice and hot and huuuuumid. Nothing like sweating bourbon for over two hours. :-6 After that I was pretty much worthless for the rest of the day.
Sunday was much better … a beautiful day, spent chilling out with friends listening to several great live bands down in Kyle at the Front Porch Days festival (the highlight: getting to hear Susan Gibson sing Wide Open Spaces, which she wrote in case you didn’t know).
And this week so far has just been all kinds of busy… and strange. I actually did try the past few nights to write, but it just turned all dark, so I deleted it … apparently this was one of those times where I needed to process, but not to share.
Instead, I’m going to give you your viewing assignment of the day … to check out Rob Reiner’s (oops, I mean Marty diBergi’s) 15 minute video of the newly reunited Spinal Tap, who are playing the London Live Earth concert this summer. You can find the video here. Enjoy!
